Iranian Ship Carrying Missiles Intercepted
Here is a message from inside Israel--from our partners from "Operation Lifeshield."
What a week! Excitement followed by more excitement. The biggest news was the capture of an Iranian ship carrying dozens of missiles headed for Gaza yesterday. Amos Harel is one of Israel's leading media experts on military and defense issues, and a senior writer with Israeli newspaper Haaretz, and regular speaker at AIPAC. Harel wrote that the only negative thing about the seizure of the ship was the timing... it would have been incredible if it had happened just before Bibi's speech at AIPAC! Actually, I feel it would have been even more outrageous if the ship capture happened during US Secretary of State Kerry's speech about the importance of diplomacy with the Iranians. Now that would have been hilarious! Well, the outstanding operation of the IDF literally saved the lives of thousands by not allowing the missiles to get into the hands of Israel's enemies in Gaza.
And speaking of AIPAC, a wonderful time was had meeting up with old friends and establishing new friendships. There were excellent sessions, delicious kosher food and very productive meetings.
A word about BDS (the campaign to boycott, divest and sanction Israel)... totally hypocritical! At UCLA a few days ago, student council entertained the notion of a divestment resolution. Thankfully, it was rejected, but not before many anti-Israel voices were heard. The CUFI Campus Field Organiser, Western Region was present - the only Christian supporting the Jewish students under attack and expressed the following to the student council:
"My name is Jessica Marzucco and I am neither Arab nor Jew, Palestinian nor Israeli, but I support peace, I support equality, and I support human rights, and that is why I support Israel and I am against this divestment."
A Jewish friend approached Jessica later and said these words: "Thank you for what you said for my people." I could not agree more. Jessica Marzucco
Blessings from Israel!
