Israel Resumes Airstrikes In Gaza

Israeli Leaders Commanding Gaza Strike

Early Tuesday, Israel led extensive airstrikes across Gaza, targeting Hamas facilities. The war has resumed after the collapse of negotiations that attempted extending a ceasefire with more hostage releases.

This conflict began October 7, 2023, 17 months ago when Hamas invaded Israel and killed over 1,200 kidnapped 251 hostages and tortured innocent civilians on the southern border.

The recent ceasefire that began in January included the release of about three dozen Israeli hostages in exchange for almost 2,000 Palestinian prisoners, many of whom had been detained for murder. The negotiations for a second ceasefire have failed because Hamas has repeatedly refused to release the remaining 59 hostages and refused the proposals mediated by US envoy Steve Witkoff.

The White House supports Israel’s position, emphasizing that actions against Hamas are justified due to their acts of terrorism. On the other hand, Hamas has condemned Israel’s “unprovoked escalation,” asserting that this attack will endanger the lives of the remaining hostages.

Most of those who live in Israel suffer from PTSD and are discouraged that this war has lasted so long, with much loss of life. Please pray for God to intervene and bring a justified end to this war.
