UPDATE: Help Save Lives in Israel
UPDATE: as of January 8th, we are only $100 short! Who will make the final donation to make this shelter happen!?!?!
Song For Israel's bomb shelters placed previously are saving lives now! Our first six shelters were placed in schools near the Gaza Border. Our next two shelters were placed in Northern Israel. Shmuel Bowman, Executive Director of Operation Lifeshield is pictured to the left in front of our last donated shelter which was placed at a tennis court in Hatzor HaGlilit. It is an educational center for disadvantaged youth at risk in northern Israel, a region at heavy risk of Hezbollah rocket attacks.
Another shelter that was donated by Song For Israel last April was placed in Netiv Meir Religious Girls School. Here is the information we received shortly after it was placed:
"This region in Northern Israel is so close to the Lebanon border that the IDF instructs residents to seek shelter IMMEDIATELY when rocket sirens sound. They aren't even allotted a specific number of seconds like other communities. Thanks to a generous donation from Song For Israel, the students, and staff of this religious school now have a protective shelter within reach in times of emergency. Thank you for helping us save lives in Israel!"
We have collected $27,8508 toward Bomb Shelter #9, which will cost $28,600. Only $750 is needed to complete this shelter! It would be great to finish this campaign! Would you consider making a one-time donation toward this project to save lives in Israel? A huge thank you to all of you who have partnered with us in these bomb shelter projects!
