Rockets Fired into Israel from the Gaza Strip
Two rockets were fired towards Southern Israel from the Gaza Strip on June 26th, sending Israeli families scrambling to shelters just as they were beginning their Shabbat dinner.
One rocket struck an open area in the Sha’ar HaNegev Region, while the other apparently didn't make it into Israeli territory.
No injuries were reported, thank God.
In response, the IDF fighter jets struck Hamas terror targets in Gaza, including a rocket manufacturing workshop and a weapons manufacturing facility.
What should have been a peaceful Shabbat night with family and friends ended up being a fearful night full of echoing explosions.
Song for Israel partners with the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem and Operation Lifeshield to bring bomb shelters to areas near the Gaza strip that are hit regularly with rockets launched by Palestinian terrorists. Song For Israel has purchased five shelters to help save lives but many more are needed. Shelters cost approximately $24,000 each and are made of steel and concrete.
