According to Arutz-7 Israeli news, donors have raised almost $5,000 for Yishai Montgomery to buy a new guitar, after he broke his fighting back a terrorist on Tuesday, March 9th. Montgomery spoke with Israel’s Channel 2 news about the attack. "I had just sat down to play my guitar near the ocean when I heard screams from down the road," he explained. "He [the terrorist] jumped on the bench yelling at me and trying to stab me so I grabbed my guitar and hit him over the head with it. "He was so stunned and didn't know what to do with himself and then started running away." Two police volunteers then shot and killed the terrorist. Ed Deir, from Philadelphia, read about Montgomery's quick reaction to an approaching terrorist and set up a GoFundMe account, explaining: "I Ed Dvir of Philadelphia will speak to Yishai to find out which guitars he wants and will purchase them on his behalf in America and will deliver them to him when I go to Israel." In less than 24 hours, 213 people from around the world have contributed to the campaign. Some added short notes including "GUITAR HEROOOO!!!!!" and "Thank you for being awesome!"
