Feast of Tabernacles Celebration Dinner - October 23, 2016
Our Feast of Tabernacles Celebration Dinner is one of our largest events of the year! We will celebrate on Sunday, October 23rd, 4 - 7 PM at a beautiful location in Yorba Linda! The Feast of Tabernacles (known as Sukkot in Hebrew) is celebrated worldwide October 16-23. Children ages 12 and up are welcome to participate. Dinner tickets are $25 each. Seating is limited.
Your evening will begin with several interactive booths that will share the Biblical foundation for the Feast of Tabernacles. Girls and women may wish to have their hair tied in a scarf the way the married women in Israel wear them. Boys and men may wish to try on a kippah (yarmulke) and a prayer shawl (tallit). Both may have their picture taken holding a covered Torah Scroll. You may choose to learn a Davidic Dance, color a decoration for the sukkah, visit a station with a miniature sukkah or enjoy appetizers.
Once you hear the sound of the shofar, you will enter through the passageway to find your table for dinner. You will hear an authentic shofar being blown and learn of its significance.
Dinner includes beef, chicken and kafta kabobs with falafels and tahini sauce, tabouleh, rice, hummus and pita bread.
The setting is in a beautiful yard in the Yorba Linda hills decorated to enhance the festivities!
