YET, I will exult in the LORD...

Lots of people are struggling right now. The earth feels like a crazy place to live at this time. Things are failing. Things are scary. Yet….A friend reminded me recently that we had memorized Habakkuk 3:17-19 years ago and it seems so appropriate to “re-memorize” it! I created my modern version of it but I’ll memorize the true Scripture soon. Below is my version and next to it is the true Scripture. I hope it encourages you. Comment below if you can relate.

Habakkuk 3:17-19:

Though the fig tree should not blossom (because of either global warming or chem trails?)

And there be no fruit on the vines (because we don’t have enough fertilizer or water to help them produce);

Though the yield of the olive should fail (and we can’t get shipments into San Pedro or Long Beach, making our store shelves empty).

And the fields produce no food, (because China has been buying up our farms or paying farmers to burn their land because of a coming drought?)

Though the flock should be cut off from the fold (and we have to eat fake meat)

And there be no cattle in the stalls, (because our government is destroying them)

YET, I will exult in the LORD,

I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

The LORD GOD is my strength, (not the news, not my favorite politician, not the food I have stored, nor my bank account)

And He has made my feet like hinds’ feet,

And makes me walk on my high places.
