"Five rockets at 5 am. Jolted from the depths of sleep, (that's got to be the worst). Revving from zero to 100 within a nano- second. Throwing off the sheets wrapped around your legs, trying to jump up and sprint without getting tangled up in them. On the way, grabbing kids, if you have them. Or pets. Running for your life, when you know that you have 10 seconds max to get there, to the safe place, and slam the door tightly shut. Hoping you didn't leave the iron window sleeve open (cause there's no way you'll have time to close it after doing all that in 10 seconds max, before rocket collides with destination and explodes).

"Now, try to get back to where you were 3 minutes ago. Try to fall back asleep. I dare ya. Tonight was not my turn to run. Tonight was the turn of people who live 15 minutes north of me. We all get our turn down here."

- Adele Raemer, resident of Kibbutz Nirim

It turns out there were a total of 6 rockets fired at Israeli civilians at 5 AM this morning. All 6 landed in open areas near Nahal Oz and Alumim. No injuries were reported, thank God.
